I'll be the first to admit, I don't enjoy flipping my calendar from August to September. Parting ways with the beach, flip flops and bikinis is extraordinarily disheartening...even if it is only for a few seasons. I suppose the light at the end of this deep, dark, depressing tunnel is that September leads to October - for many, the highlight of the year: Halloween!

I adore Halloween! That's not to say that it wouldn't be more enjoyable in the middle of July, however in all reality would it really be the same for us Canadians if we weren't freezing our butts off on our way to the bars in our cute way-too-short-barely-there-but-oh-so-sexy costumes? Certainly not, it's all part of the thrilling experience and as sick and twisted as it might be, I think we all secretly enjoy the mad dash from the car to the bar to some extent.

This year will by far be the most difficult Halloween season, and if you're wondering why on earth I say that, then perhaps its time for you to check out our 2009 Masquerade costumes collection.

Now that you've caught a glimpse of Halloween Heaven, you'll understand how easily it can turn into Halloween Hell - and I'm not talking about the sexy new Angel & Devil costumes we've lined up for you this year. In fact, I'm talking about the colossal costume selection! You can't tell me you're going to have an easy time picking out your perfect costume with all those choices. I'm even struggling with such a critical decision, and believe me it IS critical! I've come up with a sensible and rational solution in which I think all ladies will agree; get a costume for every day of the week leading up to Halloween! Since this year Halloween is on a Saturday, you could start modeling your costumes Monday! After all, you can never amp up the Halloween spirit enough - it ONLY comes once a year.

Presumably this approach may not be suitable for everyone, especially for those on a budget which is why I came up with plan B: Get your two favorite costumes that can both be worn (and will look fabulous) with the same colored accessories: shoes, stockings, gloves...etc! This will allow you to have a sexy costume for Friday night and Saturday night. You also won't have to narrow your options down to one outfit - which believe me is not worth the stress! My favorite thing about these costumes is that you really can wear them all year round! I'm not encouraging you to show up at your family's Easter dinner wearing your Deviant Devil outfit...probably not appropriate attire. However, in the bedroom anything goes and sexy costumes add zest to role playing. Some of the costumes even come with a sexy bra and panty set to strip down to.

The bottom line is: September is here, and just like summer, before you know it, it will be gone! That's why you should start Halloween shopping today to make sure you get your first two picks this 2009 Halloween season! If you've got pictures in your Coquette costume send them to pr@coquette.com.
